We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Manager to lead and coach more than 30 Account Managers and Trade Support staff across our Trade Sales teams for our successful Christchurch PlaceMakers Hub that is made up of 4 branches (Cranford St, Hornby, Kaiapoi and Riccarton). With over 400 key customers operating in every aspect of the building industry, we aim to be the easiest merchant to do business with.

You will be responsible for your team working closely with customers, increasing sales, margins, and overall profitability while supporting our customers every step of the way. You’ll work with your direct reports to drive performance and promote a coaching culture in their teams. You will work directly with the Christchurch Hub Owner/Operator and the Senior Management Team to achieve regional strategies and goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical assistance and senior sales support to the branch network (Trade Sales Managers, Trade Support Manager, Team Leaders, and Branch Managers) to maximise our business opportunities with customers.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies, to support our customers with their projects, and to achieve regional sales targets.
- Oversee large sales-related projects to assist sales teams in achieving goals.
- Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders.

**Experience**:

- At least 8-10 years of sales experience in a senior sales management role. This experience should include managing a team of sales professionals, driving sales performance, and developing and implementing sales strategies with a diverse range of customers.
- Proven track record of increasing sales, margins, and overall profitability in a senior sales management role through industry cycles.

**Leadership Development**: experience in developing and coaching sales teams. A strong track record of building a high-performing culture. You should also have experience in implementing leadership development programs for sales professionals.

**Sales Performance**: a proven track record of driving sales performance and achieving sales targets, as well as competence in analysing sales data, and using insights to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

**Relationship Promotion**:strong relationship building skills, with a natural ability to develop and maintain relationships with Hub teams, key customers, and stakeholders.

**Industry Knowledge**: experience in the industry or a related field, to understand with genuine empathy our stakeholder’s reality and challenges and develop effective sales strategies.
