Operations Coordinator

**About the Role**
As Operations Coordinator - Harvesting, you will work with our harvesting contract suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, customer focused, environmentally sound, and cost-effective operations. You will also support the Engineering team in the daily coordination and supervision of the roading and engineering programme and, harvest planning functions. In your role you will get the opportunity to work closely with a variety of teams in the forests team and contractors. Some of your key responsibilities are:
- managing contractors, ensuring they are meeting performance objectives and adhering to applicable legalisation and regulations.
- conducting regular safety, environmental and operational compliance audits.
- ensuring production rates for harvesting operations are established and monitored.
- monitor and ensure infrastructure required for harvesting is maintained in a serviceable condition.
- ensuring log supply is within specification.
- collaborating with Forest Engineers and Contractors to create harvest plans.
- coordinating and supervising road and landing construction, upgrade, repair and maintenance operations.
- assisting with the design and installation of stream crossings.
- forecasting and monitoring costs in areas of responsibility.
- assisting with setting weekly and monthly wood flow estimates.
