**_ The Role / Te mahi_**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our organization as a Group Leader for Enterprise Identity to join the newly transformed Information Systems Group.

In this role, you will be the effective product lead and evangelist that oversees modern digital identity lifecycle services at Otago, including governance, authentication, authorisation, and access management.

Your accountability will extend to maintaining and enhancing the current state platform, but also evaluating market trends, and proposing long-term technical directions.

Your primary focus will be on championing the achievement of identity objectives at the University and providing thought leadership to drive identity transformation initiatives that support our broader digital transformation.

A blend of technical experience and business understanding is essential for this role.

A strong cross-functional management skillset, an orientation to innovation, excellence in service delivery and strategic awareness are critical to success in this role.

You will be diplomatic yet forthright in highlighting the importance of identity and active access management to business areas.

Experience in working with complex projects and leading continuous improvement initiatives is required.

You will bring proven experience in working with various teams, cross functional squads, and projects.
