**_ Te mahi/The role_**
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Information Portfolio and provide specialist development services with a focus on Identity Management services.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to deliver optimal, standardised and sustainable software solutions to meet the organisations wider data integration needs.
- Provide specialist lifecycle services across integration design, development, maintenance, deployment, documentation and monitoring to achieve robust solutions in the Identity space.
You won’t easily find a more varied technology environment to immerse yourself in integration challenges than what is on offer here at the University of Otago.
**_ Kā pūkeka me kā wheako/Your skills and experience_**
- Key skills for this position include:
- Experience in scalable integration design patterns and good practice.
- Knowledge of public cloud integration platforms (particularly Azure).
- Qualification or certification in a relevant discipline appropriate to the role (an advantage).
- Proven experience translating requirements into client-focused business solutions.
- Proven experience in change control and release management processes.
- Ability to write clear technical and functional documentation.
- Experience in agile development practices.
- Experience with a range of languages such as Python, SQL, Javascript, Java, C# or others.
- Exposure to event-based architectures and streaming data platforms.
- Exposure to a range of relevant development tools, integration frameworks and environments.
- Experience in the implementation and monitoring of service performance.
- Demonstrable understanding of good security practices.

The Integration team and the Information Portfolio love working with data and collaborate widely to improve the use of data within and between systems with appropriate safety and security in mind.

This is a permanent, full-time (1.0FTE) position, located on the Dunedin Campus.
