**The Company**

This company has been dominating in the insurance field for over two decades and has a strong presence across ANZ and Europe, which Head Quarters in Auckland. The company is joint owned by two enterprise companies which has historically relied on each other for various areas of the business. This transformation will define each company in their own right and they will reduce the cross over to make each company more streamlined for their individual goals.

The company has a clear vision and purpose of why this programme of work is important, and are excited to invite a new Cyber Security Engineer to assist them on their journey.

**The Role**

The organisation is building an IT practice internally and this role will work closely with the Infrastructure and Security Lead and transformation project team to assist with delivering this internal venture.

Major areas of focus;
- Maintaining all the software and hardware in relation to security
- Documenting security certification
- Identifying current and emerging technology issues including security trends, vulnerabilities and threats
- Threat intelligence
- Sourcing and implementing new security solutions to better protect the organisation
- Conducting proactive research to analyse security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies
- Liaising with vendors to implement security solutions
- Working with internal business teams to deliver secure solutions for our customers
- Developing our Security strategies and policies
- Identifying and owning your risks and incidents, in-line with our risk management programme.

**Your Profile**

To be successful in this position, you will likely have the following experiences/qualities;
- A Security certification such as CISSP, GISP, and CISM
- Expertise across a variety of security products including firewalls, URL filtering, information security and virus protection
- Commercial acumen to provide cost-effective security solutions
- An enthusiasm for staying up to date with the very latest updates about security threats and solutions
- Outstanding communication skills that go beyond "tech talk" - the ability to translate complex IT matters to those without an IT background
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Previous exposure to Linux and/or Windows Operating Systems, coding languages, and/or Networks
