**The Opportunity**:
A vacancy exists for an experienced Lead Quality Control Analyst looking to lead activities within their own laboratory. Reporting to the QA Manager, this role will manage, schedule and execute the quality control testing of raw materials, in-process materials and final product for the production facility, providing analysis, review and interpretation of results, ahead of product release. Additionally, you will maintain the laboratory equipment, utilities and retention samples.

As a key contributor to the smooth flow and release of products, you’ll be active in your collaboration with other departments providing training and support where necessary, and proactive in identifying and reporting recognised variances or concerns before they become major issues.

Experience in a GLP/GMP environment will be an advantage, but in general you will have excellent attention to detail and be adept at providing accurate records.

To be considered you will ideally possess the following attributes:

- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably life science/ biochemistry related OR alternative tertiary qualification with scientific training in biochemistry or related field
- Several years’ experience working in a commercial (preferably GLP/GMP) immunology or biochemistry laboratory
- An expert in performing standard immunological and biochemical test methodologies
- Good technical writing capabilities with the ability to maintain accurate records and convey results in a concise manner
- Able to work individually but maintain relationships with the wider team, building a rapport with your colleagues to develop a trusting connection
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach with initiative in ‘finding a better way’
- Able to plan and schedule work to support the production team in efficient release of manufactured products
