**The Company**:
Our client is a major player in the international infant formula and dairy nutrition market. Their state-of-the-art manufacturing plant based south of Auckland is RMP certified, meeting local and international food safety compliance standards, and is manufacturing for these markets.

**The Opportunity**:
This fast-growing business is seeking an experienced Quality Improvement Lead to support their site quality and compliance function. Reporting to the Quality and Compliance Manager, this position will primarily support the business on food safety and validation to ensure that defined standards are met. Your key responsibilities will cover management of the HACCP food safety, FSSC22000, and the validation programmes. You’ll also be heavily involved with quality improvement projects for the site.

With main key stakeholders for this role being production, quality and maintenance staff, you will work cross-functionally with departments to ensure quality standards are maintained, Good Manufacturing Practice is met, and that food safety standards are well implemented.

In this role, your time management and interpersonal skills will be as important as your quality, validation and food safety knowledge. You will have prior experience in nutritional dairy and be familiar with current associated quality standards. Your experience will include at least 2 years with validation and 5 years within infant formula manufacture.

Applicants should have the following attributes, qualifications and experience:

- Tertiary science qualification with a major in chemistry, microbiology or food science
- Minimum of 5 years QA/QC experience within the nutritional dairy industry or similar
- Minimum of 2 years process validation experience in a GMP environment
- Highly effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Quality and Food Safety experience in the nutritional dairy sector
- Proven experience with team motivation and mentoring
- Sound computer skills & ability to convert data into useful user-friendly information
