Tauranga, New Zealand Ifixed Limited Full time

**Minimum Hours**: 30 hours per week
- **Maximum Hours**: 40 hours per week
- **Working Hours**: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- **Overtime**: Available (paid at the base rate)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and repair various hardware components for Mobile, Tablets, Apple Devices, PCs, laptops, and other ICT devices including screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, and camera repairs.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs, including motherboard-level diagnostics and micro soldering.
- Unlock, flash, and restore firmware for mobile devices, resolving software-related issues.
- Repair and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cellular problems.
- Diagnose and resolve water damage issues in mobile phones using ultrasonic cleaning and circuit repair techniques.
- Implement security measures, such as passcode removal, encryption, and data backup solutions.
- Conduct component replacements, including RAM, SSD, hard drives, power supplies, cooling systems, and other internal parts.
- Identify and resolve issues related to display screens, battery, touchpads, and peripheral connections.
- Troubleshoot and repair connectivity issues, including network adapters, ports, and wireless components.
- Configure and install computer hardware and peripherals for home and business users.
- Maintain and service business IT infrastructure, including desktops, printers, and office network hardware.
- Implement hardware security measures, including device encryption and firewall configurations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues to non-technical users in a clear manner.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services through support ticketing systems and CRM software.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Diploma in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

**OR**

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an ICT hardware support role or a related field is required.

**Skills Required**:

- Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware components and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and fixing common and advanced hardware-related issues.
- Experience with micro soldering and motherboard-level repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in an understandable way to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with support ticketing systems and CRM software.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Full New Zealand driver's license.
- New Zealand residency, valid New Zealand work permit, or offshore applicants with intent to apply. (Note: Offshore applicants will not be prioritized at this stage.)

**Working Conditions**:

- Work in a tech repair shop environment located in Katikati or Tauranga.
- Occasional travel to customer sites within the Bay of Plenty region.
- Potential overtime, paid at the base rate.
