We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Invoicing team.

**About the role**:
The Invoicing team’s mission is to help small businesses save time and improve cash flow. We aim to give small businesses time back to focus on running their business, and enjoying their life, by automating the hard stuff and making administration easy. Our products help businesses around the world get paid on time.

This is a critical time for the Invoicing team and Xero. We’re looking for a Product Manager who will lead an initiative contributing to one of Xero’s top three strategic priorities. This initiative spans multiple product groups across Xero, is complex and critical for Invoices and Xero to execute well.

As a Product Manager within the Invoices team, you will drive customer and business value through defining the vision and strategy for this initiative. You will deeply understand the needs and problems to solve when small businesses need to get paid. You will work with your cross-discipline team, multiple product delivery teams and cross business stakeholders to get mutually beneficial outcomes. You know what accountability means, and you'll have empathy for the teams working towards ambitious goals, with a focus on helping make the execution of strategy as seamless as it can be.

**What you’ll do**:

- Set the product vision and strategy for one of Invoicing's key priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Then evangelise the work across with Invoicing teams and wider stakeholders
- Create outsized impact through defining, driving and executing initiatives that realise the strategy and ensures the customer and business success
- Work closely with your team to define scope, milestones, and ensure on-time and in-scope delivery of products
- A great communicator who can influence through building trusting relationships and thoughtful deliberation
- Bridge UX, technical and customer worlds as you lead strong and productive relationships with stakeholders to deliver on key priorities
- Identify success metrics and track product performance in line with team the product vision, strategy and objectives
- Have a passion for representing Xero’s products
- Cultivate a culture that embodies the Xero values and Product principles

**What you'll bring with you**:

- Proven experience championing strategic priorities and helping others relate to and align with these. Experience setting product vision and strategy
- Experience as an established product leader, specifically in delivering large, complex and cross business software products
- Excellent stakeholder management skills. Proven experience building meaningful, collaborative relationships across all levels of the business
- Proven Product Ownership experience — with an extensive toolbox of modern product discovery practices to draw upon. Experience coaching Product Owners in them
- Proven experience using a range of metrics to monitor the success and health of products and services. Experience of making evidence-based decisions
- A deep understanding of what is important to product teams and developers and how your teams can help enable that
- Experience leading and building high-performing product teams, fostering an open and collaborative environment
- A solid track record of addressing customer needs. Experience connecting teams closer with customers (and not just be a proxy for them)Proven experience working with innovative software development projects at scale
- Experience coaching or mentoring Product people, and a desire to become a people leader
