**Mōu | About you**

You are a seasoned professional with extensive experience in industrial relations, skilled in navigating complex employment laws and collective bargaining agreements. Your exceptional negotiation and communication abilities enable you to build strong relationships with unions, employees, and management. You have a strategic mindset, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of workplace dynamics.

Your passion for fostering positive relations and resolving conflicts effectively makes you a valuable asset to any organisation. With your proactive approach and commitment to fair and equitable workplace practices, you are ready to take on the challenges of a Senior Industrial Relations Advisor role.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**
- Relevant experience in the Employee Relations area (in the range of 4+ years depending on type of experience).
- Demonstrated experience in the advocacy and negotiation of matters and working with Unions and advocating in a contemporary way, and employment relations at different levels in an organisation.
- Demonstrated Industrial Relations expertise with the ability to assess IR/ER issues and consider options, risks, benefits, mitigation strategies and make informed recommendations.
- Developed critical thinking, with the ability to identify trends and distil information into insights and action.
- Ability to model the concept of “good faith” in employment relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or comparable experience.
- Experience in a large public service organisation is desirable.
