Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality objective analysis and advice on operational policy issues as they relate to health workforce planning and development. This is an opportunity to join a high performing, supportive and collaborative team. Where the team work together to compile comprehensive and high-quality written products on behalf of their stakeholders. In this diverse role, you have the ability to work collaboratively and manage your own workload to achieve the required outcomes.
This will be a 12 month secondment/ fixed term Opportunity.
Mōu | About you
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action
- Comprehensive knowledge of policy formulation in a health or social sector government or delivery agency
- Highly developed analytical skills and a demonstrated commitment to developing and maintaining specialist skills and knowledge in own area of expertise
- A good understanding of the policy development process and machinery of government
- A good understanding of policy implementation and the issues likely to impact on it
- Project management skills

This role requires and/or would benefit from the following
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a willingness to learn and grow
