Programme Manager, Regulatory Excellence Programme

The Regulatory Services Group leads and influences two key regulatory systems for New Zealand. In the Gambling system we deliver community wellbeing through reducing gambling related harms and in the Anti-Money Laundering system we protect the trust in NZ's financial systems, helping to create a safer place for New Zealanders.
**About the role**:
It is an exciting time to be part of our Regulatory Services group as we look at improving the way we regulate our sector. We are seeking a Programme Manager on a 12-month fixed term to oversee the delivery of the various workstreams within our Regulatory Excellence Programme.
**In this role you will**:
- Work closely with the project team to actively identify gaps in discovery through to implementation activities, inter-dependencies between work and workstream, risks and issues and associated mitigations
- Maintain an integrated plan, risk and issues register, action register
- Run programme progress meetings
- Give the General Manager, Regulatory Services and the Governance group confidence that changes are being implemented effectively with staff and sector
- Support the smooth and effective running of the Governance group
**About you**:
This position will suit a do-er, someone who is ready to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. You will have:
- Experience managing and delivering programmes of work/projects for operational groups
- Knowledge and experience of what successful implementation looks like
- The ability to influence and embed change with staff and sector groups
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with internal and external groups.
- Previous experience coaching staff and internal stakeholders
- Knowledge of programme, project and/or change management disciplines, tools and techniques
- Sound knowledge of government and public sector processes.
