**Position Objective**
- Lead and optimize our Distribution operations warehouse to ensure delivery to our customers on time and in full.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**People**
- Provide leadership to the distribution team, ensuring that the team is resourced to plan, has the the skills and confidence to fulfill their roles safely, provided opportunties to contribute to continuous improvement and to develop their capabilities to maximise their potential
- Drive actions to improve employee engagement to support Best Place To Work
- Drive customer centric culture to ensure that operations enable delivery on time and in full
- Ensure succession plans are in place for all key roles and tasks
- Attend and conduct daily and weekly operational team meetings
- High levels of pro-active collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure customer needs are anticipated and delivered on

**Operations**
- Optimise warehouse operations to ensure quality, inventory accuracy, performance and cost objectives are met to support the customer experience
- Optimise 3PL to maximise efficiencies
- Managing the accurate flow of stock through the system
- Drive continuous improvement across all areas of warehouse operations to improve service levels and business outcomes
- Pro-active collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders to support regional deliverables
- Oversee the inspection of incoming products to the facility for conformity with the replenishment or direct order or returned goods authorisation. Ensure QA requirements are met and arrange for return of defective materials.
- Ensure the timely receipt and transfer of finished goods both from and to warehouses within the company. Supervise the receiving and storing of finished goods and other company supplies.
- Co-ordinate special distribution services to support the introduction of new products or to solve internal and key customer supply chain problems.
- Collect relevant KPI’s and interpret information to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and report capacity constraints
- Prepare budgets for the warehouse and distribution activity and operate within approved guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with regularly and Baxter requirements and ensure adherence to GMP standards
- Provide support for internal stakeholders as required
- Develop distribution techniques and practices that determine conformity with receipt and shipping requirements.
- Projects as required to optimize all facets of distribution and logistics opeation

**Inventory**
- Ensure inventory management strategy is developed and implemented
- Supervise and conduct the predetermined periodic inventory counts of finished goods.
- Maintain a record of inventory record accuracy performance versus our targets
- Weekly meetings held with local team members and Distribution Management to review inventory results,
- Daily review of interim location inventory with the aim to eliminate unnecessary usage and improve operational performance
- Ensure all pallets are managed to ensure losses are eliminated or tracked by customer

**Transport**
- Regularly review the transportation strategy and ensure freight optimisation
- Monitor transportation rates and select and use carriers within Baxter Healthcare’s approved services which consistently provide the most appropriate service.
- Develop and recommend improvements in transport practices, processes and systems to promote a cost-effective and timely service.
- Comply to POD storage processes, Develop and recommend improvements to current practices and procedures.
- Evaluate inbound and outbound due dates and take corrective action to eliminate results that do not meet customer expectations.

**Qualifications, Experience & Skills**

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in logistics management preferred
- NPI Qualification an advantage

**Experience**
- Experience managing warehouse operations or in a continuous improvement logistics role
- Successful track record leading and developing teams and optimization projects
- Experience with 3PL
- Continuous Improvement projects
