We are looking for an Advisor Expanding Best Practice to support the Te Ao Mārama programme. This is a full time, fixed-term role until July 2025.

Te whiwhinga mahi/The Opportunity
We are looking for someone with District Court operational experience to join the team and support the Expanding Best Practice workstream in the Programme. You will be motivated by improving the District Court experience for defendants, victims, children and young people, parents andwhānau, and provide better information about the participants to judges to enable a solution-focused approach.
The Advisor Expanding Best Practice will be supporting the development and provision of high-quality advice for the expansion of best practice approaches across the District Court, which may include using some of the approaches taken through the existing specialist and therapeutic courts such as the Matariki Court, Te Kōti Rangatahi, the Young Adult List, and Whakaorangia te Mana Tangata.
As Advisor Expanding Best Practice, you will be a key member in sharing best practice across the Programme and within the team. You will be flexible to learn and adapt the knowledge that you hold and,committed to evolving our Best Practice methodologies.

We are currently establishing the Te Ao Mārama Programme team, a multi-disciplinary roopu to enable the design, development and delivery of the programme. You will be working closely with supporting teams across the Ministry of Justice and the wider justice sector.

Utu ā-tau/Salary
The appointing salary for this role will be between $70,518 and $97,908 based on skills and experience.
