The Regulatory and Control Operations (RACO) team is accountable for the development, implementation and ongoing leadership of the group's financial crime shared services. RACO leads the Group's approach to managing Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF), Sanctions and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) risks and obligations through the provision of the following services:

- Correspondent Banking due diligence
- AML/CTF operations
- Sanctions Operations
- Government Agency Requests
- Customer Verification Screening

The Business Assurance (BA) team is responsible for analysing and recording insights through our Quality Assurance (QA) team, who assist in maintaining our service standard and providing coaching and training to the wider RACO team.

RESPONSIBILITIES** (On any given day you will )**

With approximately 15 direct reports, you will report to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance and be responsible for:

- Adhering to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.
- Using the Group's people management systems and policies to effectively manage people and complete all required people management activities as directed by the Group or Senior Manager.
- Continuously looking for opportunities to improve the day-to-day operational environment including reporting enhancements, self-serve data options, improving productivity, etc.
- Participating and managing strategic initiatives that deliver benefits to the business and improve our way of working.
- Maintaining an operating rhythm with Operational Managers to provide insights and trends as well as understand root cause of systemic quality issues. Develop and implement CI initiatives and action plans to uplift QA results across RACO.
- Driving improvements within the QA team by:

- Delivering day-to-day support to the team
- Monthly sampling of QA Analysts work
- Uplifting financial crime knowledge of the QA team and promoting continuous learning and development within the team
- Staying up to date with emerging Australian & global financial crime themes and trends
- Ensuring SLA's and team targets are met or exceeded
- Forging strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Operations teams, Line 1 Risk, Financial Crime Compliance, and all other relevant teams.
- To lead, coach and inspire team members to achieve a high performance team culture.
- Conducting risk management responsibilities including; ensuring CAP requirements are met, minimising the risk of compliance breaches within RACO, participation in assurance and audit reviews as well as implementing action items.
- The role will ensure the effective delivery of QA over our key processes such as ECDD, PEP identification, Customer and Payment Screening.

Undertaking any other tasks assigned by the Senior Manager that you have the capability to perform safely and in line with relevant internal Group policies and external regulatory requirements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE **(We are interested in hearing from people who possess )**
- Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
- An understanding of the financial crime regulatory framework with knowledge of the AML/CTF, Sanctions and ABC risk environment
- Strong ECDD theory and working knowledge of best-practises
- Demonstrated capability to lead a team of between 15-20 direct reports
- Highly-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate trends and insights to a large range of stakeholders
- Continuous improvement (CI) mindset and the ability to utilise CI tools
- Excellent time management skills
- Relevant industry certification/accreditation
- +3 years working in a financial crime environment
