This is a fast-paced role that sits within the Langa Le Vā Pacific Policy team. The primary focus of the workflow for the Tupu Tai Programme Coordinator will include working closely with the Tupu Tai Co-Leads and Manager Langa Le Vā Pacific Policy to support the successful delivery of the annual Tupu Tai Pasifika Public Sector Internship Programme.
The Programme Coordinator will facilitate coordination across the project, including planning and reporting, coordination and logistics management for events, meetings and stakeholder engagement activities, budget tracking, and administrative support for the team and work programme.
**The scope of the role includes**:
- Supporting the delivery of the Tupu Tai Pacific Public Sector Internship Programme
- Managing programme logistics, overseeing arrangements for stakeholder engagement, coordinating events and liaising with ministerial offices and agency partners
- Supporting the Tupu Tai Co-leads with intern and agency relationship management, communications and coordination
- keeping track of the budget and keeping budget spreadsheet up to date, processing contracts and invoices and room bookings
- meeting management and secretariat support for MBIE meetings with agency partners and interns. Coordination of updates for MBIE/interagency/Ministerial reporting.
**About the team**:
Langa Le Vā the Pacific Policy team sits within Tautoru the Economic Strategy Branch in MBIE’s Strategic Policy and Programmes group. Our strategic purpose is to support Pacific Peoples’ economic development aspirations which are key to building a productive, sustainable and inclusive Aotearoa. We are a relatively small multi-disciplinary policy team with a big strategic purpose. We are unique in that we operate at both the strategic and applied policy interface within MBIE and across government.

- Preferrably experience in project or programme management, administration or related area
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to develop and implement fit for purpose processes and documentation
- Excellent communication (written, visual and oral) including ability to summarise and convey key points from large amounts of information.
- Cultural awareness
- A flexible approach to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders and demonstrated ability to use a range of engagement methods
- High attention to detail and accuracy in written and numerical work
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
- Flexibility to adapt within a fast moving environment and learn new systems and approaches
- Knowledge and understanding of working in a government agency
