Our Alumni Relations and Development office is seeking a Call Centre Fundraising Team leader (known internally as Fundraising Coordinator) to act as a line manager for our casual calling staff. This means you will line manage between 4 and 6 people who are usually doing part time hours. The primary focus of the role is to assist and grow the annual giving donor pool and increase alumni engagement through the management of our phone campaigns.

You will be responsible for running the internal and external telefundraising programmes. This includes managing student fundraisers who call alumni in an effort to steward and raise donations. They also contact agencies who assist with acquisition. You will help train and motivate the student callers during shifts and assist with administrative support in the Alumni Relations & Development office.

Outside of the phone campaigns, you will work to develop the supporter lifecycle. Donors give to a wide range of funds supporting work across the University and you will deliver updates to donors to show the impact of their support. You will support the Annual Giving Manager with appeals including copywriting and project management. You will also work on new initiatives to recruit sustainable donors and develop pathways for them that are applicable for the University philanthropic journey.

**_ Key responsibilities include:_**
- The implementation and management of both internal and external telephone appeals on a cyclical basis. This includes strategy development, planning, implementation, recruitment, training, and ongoing leadership of a small group of student callers.
- Team and people management including the running established training programmes and ensuring that your team are working to a KPI framework.
- Administrative work relating to our campaigns and people management such as timesheets, budgets, work hour scheduling, leave requests etc.
- You will also be responsible for ensuring that your team maintain positive and professional contact with our alumni with the goal of delighting them and showcasing the activities of the University.

This is a permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) position with a salary of between **$70,000** and **$75,000** per annum, although we do have some flexibility dependant on your level of experience.

**About the team | Mō tō mātou rōpū**

You will partner with our Annual Giving Manager to run the day-to-day operations of our fundraising and customer service call centre with up to 6 casual staff reporting directly to you. You will be joining a positive and high energy environment that will require you to be a main escalation point and problem solver for your team whilst also being diligent with your admin and reporting responsibilities. Your management responsibilities will include working through processes and IT systems to complete recruitment activities, onboarding tasks and approvals including signing off timesheets, holiday request and absences.

Ideally, you will have previous call centre team leadership or trainer experience in a fundraising environment. Alternatively, you could have experience of working in a fundraising environment with administrative/coordination responsibilities that support the fundraising teams.

You will play a part in creating our campaigns which are led by your manager, so we would also like to see professional experience of implementing a programme or campaign.

It’s essential that you have two or more years fundraising, call centre or face-to-face fundraising experience and an understanding of the University environment, so we would also like to see a relevant tertiary qualification
