People & Capability Coordinator

**Mō te tūranga | About the role**
- 32 hours per week.
- Responsible for assisting with People & Capability (P&C) activities across Health & Safety and HR, but with a core focus on Learning and Development (L&D), providing training support and administration for the organisation.
- Tasks include; event administration, data entry, room set up and pack down, updating staff intranet, ordering catering, booking providers, courses and participants.
- Update and maintain data for our HR Information System (HRIS) to keep people records accurate.
- Respond to general queries from staff.
- Complete invoicing for the team.
- Support P&C to achieve organisational priorities and undertake system & process improvement tasks.
- Support HR Administration alongside the other P&C Coordinator when required.

- Understand how people related systems and processes work to resolve issues when they arise.
- Able to build effective working relationships and maintain quality customer service focus throughout periods of high demand.
- Have a high level of attention to detail and effective forward planning and prioritisation skills.
- An interest in Learning & Development and Human Resources is desireable.
- Our organisation is very diverse in functions. You will enjoy understanding training needs for staff across areas such as Biosecurity, Marketing, Science, Compliance, Finance, Engineering, and Public Transport.
**Mō ngā pūkenga | Qualifications and experience**
- ~5 years of relevant experience providing administrative support.
- Minimum qualification of a L5 or L6 National Certificate.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Proven ability to plan and organise demanding work schedules.
- Able to deal with sensitive and confidential issues.
**Mō te tīma | About the team**
- This role reports to the Learning & Development Business Partner who will support and work closely with you.
- Your role is integral to the L&D team which is also part of the wider P&C section.
- You will work closely with the HR P&C Coordinator, and the HR Advisor.
- You will work closely with many other people across our organisation, including the well-being team, IT Professionals, Executive Assistants, and Business Support. You will also support managers with training matters.
