We are currently are looking for an Assets and Maintenance Manager to join our busy team.

Reporting to our Wellington Regional Manager The Assets & Maintenance Manager’s primary responsibility for the overall delivery of Assets & Maintenance activities to enable Veolia to meet its contractual and legislative obligations for the Wellington Wastewater Treatment Plant Services Contract.

The focus of work will be of a technical and project management nature, however the work will vary according to contractual and client needs.

**What you'll be responsible for**:

- To provide technical engineering support to the Wellington Regional Managers
- Overall management of the Asset and Maintenance activities.
- Will be responsible for our Regional Assets and Maintenance team operating across all four facilities and providing specialist mechanical maintenance and electrical / SCADA maintenance.
- Management and support the Assets & Maintenance team.
- Comprehensive understanding of Wellington Wastewater Treatment Plant Services Contract obligations so as to enable understanding, implementation and management of specialist mechanical maintenance activities.
- Act as the interface between Veolia and Wellington Water in respect of specialist mechanical maintenance and electrical / SCADA maintenance.
- Develop, plan and management of the Major Forward Works necessary to achieve compliance in accordance with the Wellington Wastewater Treatment Plant Services Contract.
- Assist in the preparation of assets budget and monitoring (including P&L / financial review) and delivery against approved assets budget. Focus on all Assets and Maintenance activities.

**What you'll need to be successful**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification, in line with the delivery of Wastewater treatment activities.
- Demonstrable experience in water / wastewater related asset management and/or project delivery; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience in small team management with suitable experience in technical solutions and/or project management and delivery.
- Experience in development of project solutions and driving results.
- Experience in asset management and alignment with contract obligations.
- Proven ability to manage a project and deliver within time and budget constraints.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Motor vehicle drivers licence.
- Google suite of programs (essential).
- SCADA system experience.
- Well developed reporting and report writing skills.
- Conversant with NZS3915:2005 or other similar forms of contracts.
- Conversant with QA systems such as ISO9001 and ISO14001.
- Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required.
- Required to take part in an after-hours on-call manager’s roster.
