Role Purpose:
As Transport Asset Lead, you’ll take charge of planning, maintaining, and renewing transport assets. Act as the Council’s technical expert, develop forward works programs, and lead infrastructure asset management activities.
Key Relationships:
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including Waka Kotahi, Greater Wellington Regional Council, and consultants/contractors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as the transport unit’s asset expert and provide asset management advice for projects across the Transport unit.
- Develop forward works programmes through the use of Deterioration modelling and remaining life investigations.
- Manage maintenance and renewal of traffic assets, ensuring data compliance.
- Represent Council on Te Ringa Maimoa and Road Controlling Authority forums, as required.
- Collaborate with the Transport Leadership team to deliver the work program.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Contribute to financial management and strategic objectives.
