We are currently seeking Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) to join our high performing Auckland AME team. As an AME at Jetstar, you will carry out aircraft maintenance in accordance with Jetstar Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Jetstar Safety Management System (SMS), Maintenance Control & Procedures Manual, Company Policies and Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulatory requirements.

About our Engineering Team

The Jetstar Engineering Team are at the forefront of delivering our superior safety standards. They are responsible for ensuring the airworthiness of our fleet of aircraft, including completing all required maintenance that must be carried out on time and to approved standards to ensure they take to the skies safely. At every stage, all maintenance needs to be documented, detailed records maintained, with aircraft parts ordered and available at all times.

The Opportunity

Your new role as an AME will see you deliver quality and reliable maintenance and rectification services to a high standard, while ensuring all WHS and Quality policies and procedures are adhered to. This role will see you working with a range of specialist teams enabling you to provide excellent engineering standards on a solid foundation of safety, quality, reliability and service.

To succeed in this role, you will need to:

- Have completed Certificate IV in Aeroskills, with previous A320/321 experience desirable
- Have excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Have experience in Base Maintenance
- Have a proven commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Have proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders; and
- Hold a valid driving licence and ability to obtain an Airside Drivers Licence
