Auckland City, New Zealand Fletcher Major Projects Full time

We are looking for a Health & Safety Lead to join Fletcher Construction, supporting Auckland Transport’s Eastern Busway Alliance (EBA) delivered with Fletcher Construction, Acciona, AECOM and Jacobs.

**Role opportunity**
- As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager you will provide clarity, leadership, direction, planning and control of health, safety and wellbeing management within the Alliance. Your priority will be to influence and drive a strong Health and Safety culture within an operational environment. Your ability to influence people and understand their perspective while encouraging them to change their safety behaviours will be pivotal to your success in this role. Other key responsibilities will include implementing and running a range of safety systems, budget setting, auditing, reporting and managing a small team of dedicated health and safety professionals.

**About you and your experience**:

- Our successful applicant will have worked at a senior level for a commercial organisation. You will have suitable tertiary level qualifications relevant to the safety sector. Preference will be given to those offering expertise in the construction and / or infrastructure sectors. You will have a strong working knowledge of the New Zealand’s safety legislation.

This is a challenging role with a mix of strategic, management and operational activities. We are looking for someone who is a true leader with excellent communication skills As a result, this position is ideally suited to those who are passionate about health and safety and keen to be an instrumental part of creating a benchmark on a significant infrastructure project.
- Ability to meet requirements and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable the building of effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Tertiary qualification in Health & Safety or relevant industry qualification or by experience - desirable

The Eastern Busway Alliance Project is a 5-year alliance project constructing a dedicated, congestion-free busway between Panmure, Pakuranga and Botany town centres. This Alliance project will be delivered by Fletcher Construction, Acciona, AECOM and Jacobs.
