As a Data Engineer within the team, we'll be looking for your input to help progress our cloud-based ETL and Analytics projects. In this challenging yet gratifying role, you'll have the opportunity to make your mark on the business by helping us improve our processes and shape the way we analyse data within our industry.

**THE ROLE**
- Work within an innovative cloud-based ETL and analytics environment
- Be able to contribute to the development of ETL architecture, ensuring that cloud technologies are used where appropriate.
- Familiarity with Data presentation tools such as AWS Quicksight.
- Create ETL workflows to gather and combine data from multiple sources for analysis
- Be accountable for your work, ensuring that it is part of successful delivery.
- Interface with Business Analysts and other development teams, fostering collaboration.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders in an inclusive manner.
- Report on progress, risks and opportunities to the Informatics Team Leader.

**ABOUT YOU**

You have an excellent knowledge of data ETL and an understanding of how data works together to create insight for a business; you'll understand the relationship between data storage and presentation and how one may impact the other. You'll also be familiar with pivot tables and calculations required in data presentation.
- 3+ years’ experience in a data analytical environment
- A thorough understanding of complex database querying gained from extensive practical experience
- A strong passion in data Engineering and analytics and be a relentlessly curious problem solver
- Experience with SQL, MongoDB, APIs, and Python to extract and transform data
- Exposure to AWS CloudFormation and other AWS Services would be helpful, but training will be available for these
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to connect with stakeholders in the broader business and other professionals in the industry
- Excellent spoken and written English
