- To those near and far, greetings to you all. We look forward to you bringing your valuable skills, experience and knowledge to join our team aboard the forever moving waka, Te Taurapa Tūhono | New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE). This is the call, to rise to the occasion, and help guide New Zealand export businesses to exciting new horizons._
**This is a permanent role and is based out of our Wellington office.**
**Who are we - Ko Te Taurapa Tūhono tēnei**
- Te Taurapa Tūhono | New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) is the government agency charged with helping New Zealand businesses to grow internationally. By supporting New Zealand businesses, we boost New Zealand's economy and reputation, and help to share what's special about New Zealand with the rest of the world.
**What you'll be doing - Te whakamahere**
- NZTE has a suite of performance measures that enable us to understand how well we are delivering to our purpose. This role leads key elements in the reporting process by ensuring accurate, timely and insightful performance information is provided to our Lead Team, Board, and Ministers to help inform decision making.
This role allows you to get hands-on and help tell the story of how well we are performing for New Zealand. Responsibilities include:
- Signing off on key KPI submissions ensuring that they meet requirements
- Managing and working with external agencies such as Audit NZ to understand reporting requirements and gathering information from internal stakeholders.
- Providing input into our Annual Report, Statement of Performance Expectations and other accountability documents.
- Looking for opportunities to continuously evolve NZTE's performance reporting framework and implementation, seeking to learn from professional peers about developments in performance reporting practices in other organisations and sharing NZTE's experience.
**What you'll need to be successful - Ō Pūkenga**
- This role will suit an experienced advisor or senior advisor with generalist skills, who has experience in operating as a reporting or performance advisor or in a similar role, where you have monitored, reported on and analysed business performance. You'll be a people person with strong listening and communication skills and enjoy building positive relationships. You will be able to exercise good judgement on complex issues. This role requires you to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, so excellent relationship management skills are required.
You'll also have amazing accuracy, pay attention to detail, a curious mindset and can use your natural problem-solving skills to proactively identify ways to improve process efficiency. You'll also need strong project management and organisational skills and it would be advantageous if you understand government accountability documents and have experience using Dynamics 365 CRM (or a similar CRM system).
**Why you'll love working here - Nau mai ki Te Taurapa Tūhono**
- NZTE is a truly global organisation, giving you a wonderful experience of working with different cultures with over a hundred countries as part of our everyday. We know that life is not all about work and flexible working at NZTE is standard practise. We will give you the right technology to allow you to work anywhere and balance your time. On top of this, we also offer 5 weeks annual leave so you can have that extra time in the year to enjoy what you love doing
Career development is another huge part of working at NZTE and we will help you with your aspirations and work with you to get you there - being a learning environment that encourages adventure and experimentation, what better place to grow your career
At NZTE, we are one whānau (family) and we embrace two important Māori values, Manaakitanga and Kaitiakitanga, which are focused on promoting collective wellbeing, sustainable development and collaboration. This is evident throughout NZTE, and we are pleased to say that, based on our 2020 OurVoice Survey:
- We have an employment engagement score of 82%
- 95% of NZTE employees feel supported to make flexible working arrangements
- 93% of NZTE employees believe our leaders care about their wellbeing
