**About the role**
Charta Packaging Limited is a division of Visy, who specialise in manufacturing high quality corrugated cardboard packaging and premium printing. Based in modern premises in East Tamaki, Charta has some of the latest state of the art machinery, unique to New Zealand.

Charta are currently recruiting a HSE Coordinator to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the General Manager of Operations with a dotted line to the HSE Fibre Manager. Working Monday to Friday starting between the hours of 7am - 8am however some flexibility may be required as the plant runs AM and PM shifts.

**Duties**
- Drive and support excellence in all aspects of HSE
- Build Effective relationships with site operations
- Supporting with workplace accidents and incidents, encouraging early reporting and involvement with processes
- Logging and administering H&S incidents. Ensuring hazards are recorded and risk management procedures are initiated/followed through
- Facilitate safety meetings and preparing divisional HSE reporting and analysis
- Completing SOP’s, risk assessments and audits, as well as organising HSE training & inductions.
- Support Continuous Improvement
- Use of internal H&S systems, databases and Microsoft packages

**What you will bring to the team**
- Relevant qualification in Health and Safety Management or relevant experience
- Sound understanding of current New Zealand workplace health and safety legislation and plant safety requirements.
- Experience working in a faced continuous paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to influence and communicate with the wider team, and build strong relationships
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
