Our Opportunity
The primary role of the Health, Safety and Environmental Co-Ordinator is to work with the HSE Manager to drive safety culture and embed safety as part of what we do at our Quality Bakers site in Auckland.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Maintain legal compliance and reduce the number, frequency and severity of incidents through fostering relationships and education of hazard management
- Promote the active reporting of hazards and manage the end to end progress for controlling site risks
- Support site inductions & training
- Co-ordinate the site safety walk programme
- Report on site safety performance targets including TRFIR, incident / event closure rates, WALKs, HSE compliance completion to plan
- Drive engagement and participation of all workers in HSE initiatives, activities, plans and committees
- Co-ordinate and/ or conduct necessary audits to verify compliance to both external & internal compliance requirements
- Foster and promote site safety culture
- Be people focused and promote this through worker participation in work activities
- Generate reports for management reviews and leadership

About You
- Great communication skills - verbal and written.
- Comprehensive understanding of New Zealand OH&S and Workers Compensation regulatory environment.
- Personal time and priority management, including ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- The ability to conduct and review risk assessments - including JSA's, Risk Assessments and development of SOP's
- Auditing skills against relevant standards (Preferable, not essential)
