Auckland City, New Zealand Palo Alto Networks Full time

Company Description
**Our Mission**

At Palo Alto Networks® everything starts and ends with our mission:
Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life.

Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we’re looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are.

FLEXWORK is an employee-centric reimagining of how we work. We built FLEXWORK based on employee feedback - it is about flexibility, trust, and choice whenever possible. It’s been a journey of disruption that has yielded the best of our values. We offer as much flexibility as possible, and choices that enable you to be most productive, including benefits that meet your needs and learning opportunities that you feel passionate about.

**Job Description**:
**Your Career**

As a Presales Engineer, you'll provide technical expertise and guidance to large enterprise organisations. You will play a key role in demonstrating the value of our technical solutions which enable the customer's objectives. You'll advance our leadership in the areas of network, cloud, and endpoint security. As a trusted advisor to prospective customers, you'll further Palo Alto Networks' position as their cybersecurity partner of choice.

We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

**Your Impact**

Technical aptitude and customer focus is core to the Presales Engineering role. You'll see complex problems as opportunities to learn and deliver innovative solutions. No two days will be the same, but you'll define your impact by:

- Partnering with large organisations to secure their networks, cloud and end points with Palo Alto Networks technology
- Building and implementing strategic, technical account plans that target cross-platform solutions
- Conducting discovery to understand and articulate the key technical, operational, and commercial imperatives of your prospects and customers
- Planning and building compelling technical and business-focused solutions which drive adoption and growth after the initial sale and across the portfolio
- Demonstrating strong communication skills and the ability to influence through effective presentations and customer-specific demos, technical engagements, and workshops
- Orchestrating supporting resources to ensure a one-team approach that demonstrates a cohesive strategy
- Promoting end-to-end solutions such as Professional Services to ensure customers realise business value sooner
- Understanding the competitive landscape and effectively differentiate our solutions
- Continuously investing in yourself to develop technical and professional skills by actively participating within the community and at industry events

**Qualifications**:
**Your Experience**
- Understanding of data networking
- Experience delivering cybersecurity solutions that solve technical challenges and influence new business initiatives
- Ability to influence and gain buy-in from key stakeholders, either in a customer-facing or internal role (experience in a pre-sales role is preferred)
- Ability to create and deliver technical presentations, workshops, or technical validation engagements
- Experience selling, implementing, or managing SaaS/SASE/cloud/managed/on-premise offerings is a bonus
- Ability to partner with Customer Support functions to ensure successful implementation and adoption of solutions
- Experience working with large enterprise organisations
- Consultative selling skills
