ConsultANZ is actively seeking a Health& Safety Manager in New Zealand. Our client has civil and water projects going on at multiple sites, and they need more professionals in the HSE areas.

**Main Duties**
Your responsibilities include such as but not limited to:

- Continued management and revision of WHS policy, management plans, systems and procedures.
- Ensure the Safe Work Instruction are all in line with legislative requirements.
- Manage and report on safety performance in-line with Project WHS management systems.
- Provide advice, interpretation, and guidance to Management on statutory requirements and best practice developments within the OH&S sector.
- Identifying risk areas through trend analysing and adequately implement proactive controls and target audits to manage potential risks.
- Ensure training and education with regards to systems, statutory appointments, hazard awareness, reporting and duty of care is delivered and captured.
- Manage 3 Safety Advisors who will directly report to you.

**Requirements**:

- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret project-related documents, prepare reports and monitor compliance documentation.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including major clients.
- Proven experience with development, implementation, execution and continuous improvement of Health and Safety systems.
- Flexible in their approach to H&S and has the ability to work sensibly in the grey areas.
- Ideally, 3-5+ years of experience with water infrastructures and maintenance.
