**The Role**:

Working across multiple construction projects, you will work in with senior management through to all employees and project stakeholders, including subcontractors.
**More about the Role**:
- Assist in formulating an annual Health & Safety Strategic plan
- Develop a safety culture at all sites and offices
- Assist in developing procedures and policies to achieve strategic outcomes
- Investigate serious harm and lost time injuries, notifying appropriate government agencies as required
- Ensure registration of 'near misses' or accidents on-site or in the office
- Ensure effective delivery and documentation of all site health and safety measures
- Conduct on-site H&S inductions and audits
- Actively identify hazards and unsafe behaviours when on-site
- Participate in the Group's Health & Safety programs
- Ensure compliance with all New Zealand legislation regarding employment, including the Health and Safety Act and Employment Relations Act
- Work with site-based staff to ensure they understand and use SignOnSite and ACUITE
- Conduct monthly formal workplace audits and communicate audit reports
- Investigate and close out open questions in ACUITE
- Update H&S documents and communicate document changes
- Ensure all subcontractors have JSA's for hazardous tasks and manage generic hazard reviews and risk analysis
- Ensure compliance with all obligations
- Facilitate employee training to meet regulatory and safety compliance
- Develop, implement, and maintain an accurate employee training register
- Promote teamwork and unity within the team
- Support the company culture and model the way for others
- Communicate regularly with colleagues
- Representation at industry events
- Perform other duties necessary for the efficient running of the business

Ideally you will have worked previously in the construction industry and have sound knowledge in this area or maybe experience from other industries will also be highly regarded.
