**The Opportunity - Te Kāinga Rua**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Travel Manager to join our busy and passionate travel team. This is a fast paced environment, which requires great attention to detail and communication skills. You’ll be able to demonstrate that you are well-organised, excellent at multitasking, hungry to learn and able to cope well under pressure.

**About you -Te Rongoā**

Proficient in travel management systems and online booking tools, you will excel in fast-paced environments, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines independently. Your attention to detail guarantees accuracy. Additionally, your capability to train and educate employees on travel-related topics adds value to our team.
- Responsible for the coordination and booking of new travel requests and changes
- Arrange both individual and volume/project based travel and accommodation requests
- Build rapport and communicate across all levels of our business
- Develop and maintain corporate travel policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives, travel regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain contracts and relationships with travel vendors, including airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and other service providers.
- Monitor costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize travel spending.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel bookings, itinerary planning, visa requirements, and travel insurance.
- Stay updated with travel industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost savings.
- Identifying areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with travel regulations, such as travel visa requirements and immigration policies.
- Report on travel data, booking patterns, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Train and educate employees on travel policies, procedures, and tools to promote adherence and awareness.
- The ability to adapt to change in a professional manner - with a great sense of humour
