We support a nationwide diverse team of 10,000 people working in a range of disciplines including custody, community corrections, psychology, nursing and corporate. Our job is to enable them to achieve our strategy, Hokai Rangi, through the 24/7 services we deliver.
The National Manager Leadership Development plays a key role in supporting the Department's focus on capability uplift across the country. While our initial focus is on providing support to our leaders as they navigate a networked way of working following our recent transformation - Te Ara Whakamua, we see our whole workforce as having leadership potential and the need for access to tools to support their career journey. As Manager you will collaborate closely with our Senior Leadership teams regionally and nationally, ensuring timely access to learning, development and leadership opportunities as they present themselves. This exciting role will bring together SMEs from inclusion & diversity, cultural capability, and talent development to collaborate on key projects and initiatives.
This role reports directly into the Director Talent and Leadership and has five Direct Reports. The role is Wellington based and will work out of our National Office on the Terrace.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The salary range for this role is $136,692-$160,813, appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
