**Key Accountabilities for this role include**:

- Display leadership and high quality, timely provision of advice on survey work across NZ Police
- Deliver robust and insightful contributions to a research-informed evidence base across a number of topics of interest to NZ Police
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Evidence Based Policing Centre and NZ Police, enhancing the mana and waiora of others
- Contribute to a high performing team and continuous improvement

To be successful in this position you will require the following:

- Understanding of Māori customs and values (Whanaungatanga, Rangatiratanga, Manaakitanga, Wairuatanga and Kaitiakitanga) and Kaupapa Māori research principles would be advantageous.
- Postgraduate Research Qualification or equivalent work experience.
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Experience designing and conducting quantitative and qualitative research projects
- Good written and verbal communication and well-practiced at simplifying or tailoring complex information to the needs of each audience

**Utu ā-tau | Salary**

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $102,178 and $119,074 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
