We are Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland. We provide health and disability services to more than half a million people living in central Auckland, regional services for Northland and greater Auckland, and specialist national services for the whole of New Zealand. Our main sites are Auckland City Hospital, Greenlane Clinical Centre and Starship Children's Hospital, located in central Auckland.
We are part of Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, the overarching organisation for New Zealand's national health service. Te Whatu Ora leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.

We invite you to join the Kari Centre, an exciting and dynamic Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient service that provides assessment and therapy to children, young people, and their families within the central Auckland area.
The Kari Centre has a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and training, we are dedicated to offering opportunities for career development. We offer internal and external training packages, including formal post-graduate training, for new staff skill development as well as support for experienced clinicians who wish to build on their existing skills.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
- You will hold a Level 4 Certificate in Mental Health Support Work, or equivalent relevant qualification
- You will have an in-depth understanding of one of the main Pacific cultures resident in Te Toka Tumai area (eg, Tongan, Samoan, Niuean) This includes understanding of mental health constructs.
- Fluency in one of the languages belonging to the main Pacific cultures resident in Te Toka Tumai and exellent community networks would be an advantage.
- You will be able to provide cultural support and expertise to our team, participating with a clinician in mental health assessments and treatment for young people who present to the service, and working collaboratively with other team members and other services.
As this role is community based, a full and clean driver license is also essential.
