**Mō tēnei tūranga - about the role**

Play a pivotal part in the Communications and Engagement team and across the whole organisation in a fast-paced and varied position where no two days are the same. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Principal Advisor, Brand and Design will lead a small in-house team (currently two part-time Senior Graphic Designers) to deliver a wide range of visual content work across the organisation. This role is accountable for:

- managing and championing the Fire and Emergency brand, including usage, visual identity guidelines and brand architecture
- working with internal clients to produce visual content to solve their challenges and elevate the work, from reporting documents, award-winning fire safety campaigns, social video content, through to fleet and property branding and signage
- managing day-to-day workflow for the in-house team and external providers as needed
- establishing and operationalising an image library

**Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role**:
Bring your creative chops, proven design credentials and video production skills to this position. Through your prior experience, you will have a solid strategic lens and be capable of constantly managing competing priorities and stakeholders, driving continuous improvement and workflow efficiencies within the team. You will also be very comfortable being ‘on the tools’ and enjoy staying up to date with technology, digital channels and the creative and communications industry.

**To be successful in this role, we’d expect you will have**:

- Demonstrated ability in visual communications in a senior or team lead position, preferably in graphic design
- The ability to build relationships and establish trust quickly with many internal clients
- Excellent organisation skills with proven workflow management skills
- Proven ability to look at processes and change to become more efficient
- Experience producing video content and working with freelancers and agencies to deliver multi-channel campaigns
- Proficiency across the Abode suite
- Photography and/or videography skills would be ideal
- Experience in using motion graphics software is nice to have

**The salary range for this role is $134,190 - $149,100, where actual salary will be dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.**
