**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**
We have exciting opportunities for Occupational Therapists to join our team on a casual basis. This position can be based in either Tauranga or Whakatāne.
This role is varied and offers the opportunity to improve the wellbeing of patients journeying through previous and new health conditions including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, stroke, general medical and frailty conditions.
You will work alongside the Clinical Lead OTs, Physiotherapists, Advanced Rotators and other Allied Health Assistants to ensure excellent service delivery whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge.
The areas of work include:
- Orthopaedics
- Paediatrics
- Medical wards (including Emergency and Admission Planning Unit)
- Surgical wards
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU), High Dependency Unit (HDU)
- Acute stroke and rehabilitation
Flexible hours/days of the week up to full-time will be discussed for the appropriate applicants to enable us to shape a service based on the skills we need to deliver healthcare at the right place and right time.
**He Korero mōu - About You**
- Experience in a hospital setting working on acute wards and preferrable (but not required) experience in a rehab setting
- Flexibility to work different shift patterns dependent on service need. This can be negotiable for the appropriate person in the role
- A current Annual Practising Certificate
- Passion and a drive to make a real difference through your work and have a strong cultural awareness
