We are seeking an Occupational Therapist - Education to join our team at Rotorualibrary. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing learning support to children and young people with additional needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with parents, teachers, and families to identify and address learning barriers. You will work closely with a range of professionals to develop and implement inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality learning support in line with the practice framework, He Pikorua's guiding principles, and the content of the curricula delivered in Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Work effectively as part of a transdisciplinary team to enhance inclusive practices in schools and other educational settings.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with professional partners, community groups, and support agencies.

In addition, you will build and strengthen the capability of those who are best placed to support learning, identifying and providing advice on the environmental changes, support, equipment, and technology required by children and young people.
