Ko tā mātou mahi - Our Role
Our high performing, highly engaged and innovative Strategic Urban Partnerships team are now looking to welcome a forward thinking Development Manager. Assisting the Senior Development Manager you will;
- Assist with Identifying, investigating, and recommending development opportunities that support Kāinga Ora's Urban Development Programme and the Governments Urban Growth Agenda.
- Provide and maintain professional expertise into development trends, dynamics and market performance within your region.
- Work collaboratively to shape & support alignment of cross-agency urban development initiatives such as the Urban Growth Partnership work programme.
- Maintain positive working relationships with other government agencies, industry sectors and iwi.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu - What you will bring
This is an exciting role with opportunity to be innovative and forward thinking in approach. To be successful you will;
- Hold a Tertiary Qualification in; Property Development, Finance, Urban Planning, Project Management, Transport, Economics or other relevant discipline
- Show a minimum of 3 - 7 years urban development experience
- Have experience of relevant Government processes e.g. Public Finance Act, procurement, business cases
- Creativity and innovation in structuring land or commercial transactions to create more value for all parties
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation and relationship skills
- Ability to successfully manage and lead multiple concurrent projects of high complexity.
