The Whakapapa whānau are a small but ambitious team, running year-round operations on the northern slopes of Mt Ruapehu. In winter, from June until October, this includes a world-class ski area. In summer, from December until April, this includes our summer sightseeing operation, heroing our iconic Sky Waka gondola. Each year we welcome hundreds of thousands of manuhiri (guests) to Whakapapa, many with life-long connections to the maunga (mountain) and surrounding region, some even third or fourth generation.

We have an opportunity for someone that is a logístical genius to come and help lead our distribution team at Whakapapa this winter season.
- Mō te tūnga | About the role_

This is a supervisor position where you will help coordinate the distribution of stock across multiple cafe's of the ski area. This is a hands on role where you'll gain skills in leading a team and coordinating stock across multiple outlets. The ability to ski or snowboard is useful as this is the quickest most of transportation between facilities on the mountain. You may be asked to help out in the café outlets wherever needed to help control business levels. In this role you will:

- Maintain accountability of all stock and equipment associated with stores and distribution
- Help out the cleaning crew over the lean periods of the day
- Coordinate the incoming and outgoing of stock
- Provide leadership, training and feedback throughout the season
- Work alongside the Head Chef, head of Department and Coordinator to ensure a smooth operation of service

- Along with your commitment to exceptional guest services, other skills and qualities a successful Distribution and Cleaning Supervisor will have are:

- Exceptional organisational skills
- A full clean drivers licence
- Experience supervising others and setting expectations
- Demonstrated knowledge of Food and Beverage services
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
- The ability to adapt and work flexibly to maintain service standards and adjust to business demand
- Good computer skills, knowledge of stock control systems and Microsoft products
