This is a National role where you will be able to influence and help strategize, and deliver support and services all across our Power NZ business

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As key member of the Ventia Energy Networks & Renewable’s team, your purpose is to strengthen our Learning & Development process and programs in line with our workforce strategy. You will provide support by working with the management and our in-house learning and development teams to implement exceptional training and development programs to ensure our workforce is able to provide the best level of service possible to our clients.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Ensuring quality outcomes for all EN&R learners by leading, managing, and supporting the external and internal learning programs to ensure they are compliant, relevant and industry leading.
- Developing a consistent & coordinated approach to all learning and the ongoing development of our people.
- Assessment of current and future training agreements (SLA;s) with external providers and provide recommendations.
- Provide ongoing guidance, support, feedback for all trainees.
- In conjunction with Senior management coordinate the annual workforce strategy.
- Develop and lead the national workforce development, both in-person and virtually, ensuring alignment with Ventia’s strategy.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key corporate partners to support Ventia growth vision with diversity and inclusion.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to identify gaps and provide solution-based initiatives that supports the needs of the business.
- Collaborate and provide expert advice on government policy pertaining to industry changes.
- Improve operational management processes in terms of process and implement best practices affecting learning records.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Proven experience in external networking, relationship building, and stakeholder management to achieve business objectives.
- Must have experience with Māori & Pasifika training entities.
- Must have experience with NZ based learning entities within the Power or relevant sector.
- NZQA understanding.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions with a diverse audience.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and training capabilities.
- Confident and authentic facilitator, comfortable working with external and internal stakeholders in various situations
- Ability to measure initiative outcomes and report progress to senior stakeholders.
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
- High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate complex situations with empathy and humility.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and organisational change
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements, with proven experience in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative.
