**The Client**
Our client, a Managed Service Provider (MSP) holds an enviable position in the SME marketplace, holding a leading position in Modern Workplace Solutions, they provide technical and professional service solutions across the Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem.

**The Role**
A strategic position, the Solutions Consultant (IT systems engineer) is responsible to proactively focus on their client base, identifying present and future risks and offerings, delivering solutions in an expert and professional manner.

Day to day your role focuses on equal parts (50/50) on:

- Level 3 Service Desk Resolutions
- Focus on actioning and closing Level 3 Managed Service tasks that are escalated through the Service desk.
- Manage Client expectations on issues and tasks raised - proactively own the issue and see it through to the solution, involving internal as well as external parties as required.
- Transfer standardized offerings to Service Desk / general support.

- Project oriented consulting and delivery
- Assist the Professional Services team as initial escalation point for Solutions Design
- Develop and Maintain relationships with Client key contacts.

- Mentor and set high standards for team members to aspire to.

**The Skills Sort**
It's all about the Microsoft cloud ecosystem.

You will have started your career in a Service Desk environment, worked your way up the chain of command, moved from L1 to L2 comfortably and now you have been doing L2 to L3 predominately for the last couple of years. We are looking for someone who is ready to step up from Level 3 and blend it with Professional Service Consulting formally. With this, you obviously you have the interpersonal and technical skills to move into Professional Services.

Interpersonally, you have the ability to communicate to the audience, technically where required, and non-technically if required. Technology is your passion, you know about the functional benefits of tech, you may have consulted internally to stakeholders on what is best for the business, they trusted your recommendations and you lead the projects through to completion.

You are quality driven and focused on success. You are easy to work with and people enjoy your contributions.

**Technical**
You will have 3-5 years Engineering expertise across a wide range of technologies including Level 2 - 3 Systems Support skills in the Microsoft cloud solutions space, have had experience migrating from on premise to cloud and provided technical oversight on M365 cloud suite, security & related migrations.
- Microsoft Cloud Offerings (O365, Azure, SharePoint etc).
- Intune
- MDM - Crucial and seen as essential
- Microsoft Windows server and Workstation.
- Virtualization - VMWare and Hyper-V.
- Network and switching.
- Firewall configuration and deployment.
- Backup and DR experience would be an advantage.
- Strong networking experience supported by formal qualifications would be an advantage.
- Strong cloud platform (Azure, Office365, Dropbox) knowledge supported by qualifications or relevant experience.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and process.
