**Senior Estimator - Christchurch**

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the National Tender Manager with a dotted line to the Auckland Regional Manager, you'll be joining an experienced and supportive team with a track record of successfully winning and securing work through tendered and negotiated contracts. Your role will involve:

- Scoping and estimating a range of small
- to large-sized projects, typically between $20k and $30m in value
- Drafting work methodologies
- Preparing tender estimates and reviewing contract documents
- Liaising with the National Bid Manager to formalise tenders

**Skills & Experience**
- Significant estimating experience across Water, Construction and/or Infrastructure industries in the Auckland region
- Excellent local knowledge
- Experienced in the use of a range of Microsoft Office products
- Relevant tertiary qualification or possess industry-specific experience
- Be solutions-focused with a can-do attitude
- Able to recognise and provide effective value-added outcomes for our customers
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be friendly and work as well as part of a close-knit team as you are working independently
- While not essential, experience using the "Benchmark" estimating package would be a distinct advantage

Working within a comprehensive tendering system, you will have responsibility for the quality delivery of quotes on time and to tight deadlines. Capable of working alone and on your own initiative, your background will include a successful track record in estimating or currently studying relevant tertiary studies, combined with outstanding written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work unsupervised coupled with motivation and a drive to succeed.
