Calder Stewart Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team and contribute to diverse and significant construction projects across New Zealand. Reporting to the Area Manager, this role involves close collaboration with internal business units, commercial, and construction teams to deliver estimates and tenders that align with project requirements, budgets and deadlines.

This position offers the opportunity to work on varied and challenging projects while playing a strategical role in the company’s ongoing success.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare accurate and detailed pricing schedules and documentation.
- Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other stakeholders to develop project estimates.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to tender submissions and business development initiatives.
- Ensure all estimates align with Calder Stewart standards, client expectations, and industry best practices.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines under pressure.

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in a main contracting environment.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in New Zealand’s commercial construction sector.
- Strong existing relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in measuring, estimating, and preparing tender documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong teamwork and capabilities and the ability to collaborate effectively across regions.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
