About the role

As a full-time Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the continued growth and success of our business. You will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of earthworks and civil construction projects, ensuring we remain competitive and deliver the highest quality services to our clients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Lead the completion of tenders including liaising, negotiating and directing key senior staff to contribute and participate.
  2. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather and analyse project-specific information.
  3. Ensure the analysis, logic and decisions from successful tenders and estimates are transitioned to construction/project plans and budgets.
  4. Conduct and manage appropriate risk analysis for every estimation and tender submission.
  5. Maintain accurate and up to date information through regular research and analysis of market performance, rates and fluctuations.
  6. Negotiate and secure best priced materials and supplies.

What we're looking for

You should be an experienced estimator with at least 5 years experience in estimating for bulk earthworks and civil construction. In addition, you should have the following:

  1. Expert user of Candy.
  2. Tertiary qualification in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
  3. High level of attention to detail.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Practical experience in civil construction or earthworks projects desirable.
  6. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
