Position: Pet Grooming Practice Assistant Manager - Nose to Tail Dog Grooming

Key Responsibilities:

- Management and Operations:

- Provide effective communication between staff and the Director, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee grooming appointments, hydrotherapy sessions, and valet washes to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold and promote the Nose to Tail experience culture across all service areas.
- Reporting and Procedures:

- Conduct weekly progress meetings with the Director to review company performance and set agendas.
- Communicate sales strategies and shop floor procedures effectively to the team.
- Staff Supervision and Development:

- Supervise staff to ensure all tasks are performed efficiently and sales objectives are met.
- Manage staff rosters, time sheets, and ensure adherence to customer care policies.
- Provide coaching and training to enhance staff competency in sales and service standards.
- Conduct bi-annual staff reviews and coordinate training programs for continuous staff development.
- Monitor staff purchases and maintain accurate documentation.
- Conflict Management and Training:

- Document and resolve any staff conflicts promptly in accordance with company policies.
- Lead induction programs to integrate new employees into the Nose to Tail culture and operations.
- Ensure all staff are well-versed in company policies and procedures through comprehensive training.
- Meetings, Image, and Health/Safety:

- Organize and lead weekly staff meetings to align on objectives and foster team cohesion.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Uphold health and safety regulations relevant to the industry and company operations.

- Strong organizational skills to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Demonstrates high responsibility, prioritizing hygiene, health/safety, and code of conduct.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for leading and motivating teams.
- Coaching and coordination abilities to foster the Nose to Tail culture and standards.
- Genuine love for dogs and commitment to their well-being.
- Knowledgeable in visual merchandising practices and detail-oriented.
- Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum three years of relevant experience in a supervisory or management role within the pet grooming industry, or a Level 4 qualification in a related field.
- Ability to lift and handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
- Proficiency in handling grooming equipment and conducting breed-standard haircuts.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact effectively with pet owners.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of grooming quality, safety, and hygiene.
