**Your new role**
You will be an experienced Senior Policy Advisor in a non-hierarchical robust team, managing both internal and external relationships and reporting to the Policy Manager.

You will be responsible for:

- Leading, managing and advising alongside collaborating with the team to achieve the strategic goals and key deliverables - working towards fostering a positive and motivated team environment.
- Contribute to the development of a business plan to ensure objectives are delivered within the team. Ensure a customer centric focus within the team, in line with the organisation and wider values.
- Risk management and anticipation.
- Represent the organisation on policy matters as requested, this includes managing and contributing to Ministerial correspondence for Senior leaders.

Work alongside the Policy Manager:

- To provide support for planning programmes, strategies and priorities involving cross-agency work.
- Help to identify gaps and opportunities for further work consistent with the organisation’s framework and strategic direction. This will include contributing when required

**What you'll need to succeed**
You will need to have experience in writing policy such as ministerial, cabinet papers, OIA’s and briefings; as well as the ability to mentor policy writing in peers below. You must also have good interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships both internally and externally, with the skill to coach others.
