**Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role**

The Senior Advisor Education Workforce Contracts manages, administers and evaluates a portfolio of contracts, including supplier relationship management, and performance and compliance monitoring. The Senior Advisor Education Workforce Contracts also develops and maintains an understanding of the market for goods and services that can support and develop the education service workforce and education service leaders.

**Mōhou ake | About you**

As a Senior Advisor Education Workforce Contracts you will have a passion for achieving the best public value for money in everything you do.

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.

You will also bring:

- An ability to create and maintain relationships.
- Knowledge of the New Zealand education system.
- An ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with other teams.
- A ‘can do' attitude.

**Mātau rōpū ake | About our ministry, group, and team**

At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau. To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023. Te Pou Ohumahi Mātauranga is a key part of the Ministry of Education. We develop the education workforce strategy, including a focus on specialist services, employment relations, pay equity, education payroll, supply and scholarship functions.

The Education Workforce Contracts team In Te Pou Ohumahi Matauranga | Education serves as a Centre of Excellence for contract management, administration and evaluation, and an intelligence hub for Education workforce intervention market solutions.
