We are offering a great opportunity to join an awesome team committed to increasing participation in quality Early Childhood Education (ECE). Education Advisors take a lead role in the licensing of ECE services and in leading projects that help to increase participation rates across the Te Mahau Wellington Region. We have a full-time, permanent role available, supporting early learning services in Wairarapa and Tararua. The home office for this role is in Lower Hutt, but flexible working arrangements will be considered to best support the early learning communities in the area being serviced.

**Mōhou ake | About you**

We are offering a great opportunity to join an awesome team committed to increasing participation in quality Early Childhood Education (ECE). Education Advisors take a lead role in the licensing of ECE services and in leading projects that help to increase participation rates across the Te Mahau Wellington Region. We have a full-time, permanent role available, supporting early learning services in Wairarapa and Tararua. The home office for this role is in Lower Hutt, but flexible working arrangements will be considered to best support the early learning communities in the area being serviced.

We are looking for someone with experience and knowledge which may include senior management experience in an early learning context, administration of early childhood services and curriculum delivery.

You will also offer:

- A confidence and experience in working across a diverse range of early learning services and contexts
- Experience and success in dealing with complex relationships, including influencing and negotiation skills
- Experience in assessing information to make objective judgments against criteria and recommending courses of action
- Experience in contract/project planning and management
- The ability to analyse complex issues to produce clear and succinct written work
- A tertiary qualification in early childhood education or other relevant discipline
- A demonstrated ability to work within targeted communities to support Ministry priorities of enhancing educational outcomes for Māori, and Pasifika children and children from low socio-economic backgrounds

**Mātau rōpū ake | About our ministry, group, and team**

Our team provides leadership and delivers education services for local communities. This includes services for schools and early learning services.

We develop and harness existing relationships with communities at the regional and local level through the Directors of Education and Pou Ārahi, including relationships with iwi and hapū. Our Directors of Education have the lead role and relationship with early learning, kōhanga, school and kura, and this means they will be across all the services we provide at a local level.
