**The Role | Te Mahi**

We have an exciting opportunity for an up-and-coming leader to join our Food & Beverage team at Sudima Queenstown Five Mile. The position of Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is a key 2IC role, we are seeking a true Food & Beverage professional to bring their experience, personality, and management skills to our existing team. You will be supported by the Food & Beverage Manager to make your mark on our wonderful Podium restaurant and brand-new conference facilities.

Do you have an abundance of passion for our local region, energy, drive, and personality to lead and inspire the food and beverage team in delivering exceptional customer and community experiences? Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, be part of introducing new initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and work towards our Toitū Carbon Zero accreditation.

This is a hands-on managerial role that requires the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst leading a busy food and beverage team to ensure all outlets deliver great customer experiences. You will help run a well organised service team and be fully conversant with Sale of Liquor responsibilities. We appreciate and value every one of our team members, and the person in this position will demonstrate true leadership skills by encouraging and supporting the team in day-to-day operation.

**Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa**
- Passion and drive for the food & beverage service outlets - including the restaurant, bar, room service and conference.
- Help lead and develop the team in service standards, creating a positive and enjoyable team environment.
- Assisting with managing conferencing and events
- Ensure all team members deliver a high level of service at all times.
- Confidently assit the Food & Beverage Manager with daily admin tasks as required.
- Uphold Host Responsibility and Duty Managers Licence

**Requirements**:
**About you | Ko koe tēne**
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a food and beverage supervisor level or above in modern, successful restaurants and bars
- An understanding of current restaurant and market trends.
- Experienced bartender and barista, ideally with excellent knowledge of local wines, beers and cocktail preparation
- Event and conference experience preferred.
- Great communication skills
- Current General Managers Certificate or ability to gain one.
- Organised with attention to detail, quality service delivery.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team, embracing a team spirit.
- Experience problem solving and responding customer enquiries and complaints.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid working rights to work in New Zealand
