**About the role**
As a Modelling Analyst you will play a vital role in providing valuations, compliance, reporting and analysis for our finance function. You will also take ownership of improving and automating key middle office processes and support corporate finance activities in a dynamic and innovative team.
Some of the key responsibilities are;
- Providing valuations, compliance, reporting, analysis, and improving and automating key middle office processes for electricity derivatives, carbon, treasury and corporate finance activities.
- Preparing regular reports, such as electricity derivative valuations and hedge accounting, information to support financial statements and notes, treasury and electricity derivatives effectiveness testing, and other required regulatory reporting.
- Administering the Company's Risk Management System (RMS) and Treasury Management System, including recording transactions and setting up hedge accounting and back-to-back deals as required.
- Supports all other Middle Office tasks as required, such as, daily cash management, daily hedge disclosures to the EA and other required regulatory reporting.
- Assisting with credit review process, annual emissions return to crown and settlement, and credit analysis.
- Taking initiative to continuously improve middle office templates, tools, and processes.
**About you**
We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented individual with a can-do attitude to take on our Modelling Analyst role.
To be successful in this role, you will also have:
- A degree in Commerce, Finance or other related fields.
- Experience in a treasury or derivatives analyst role with a medium to large corporate (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Strong analytical, modelling and reporting skills.
- Experience with treasury and risk management repository/reporting systems (e.g. Reval, GTreasury) would be advantageous.
- A growth and continuous improvement focused mindset.
