**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Based at the Greenlane Clinical Centre, this person will work across Tamaki Makaurau for Tū Māia, a speciality services at Te Toka Tumai Auckland. Tū Māia was suitably named as the rangatahi and whānau using the service are predominantly Māori and are thought to be brave and courageous engaging in the court ordered comprehensive assessment processes whereby highly personal information is sought and shared after a very short period of engagement with the clinicians and cultural advisors.

Tū Māia is a regional multi-disciplinary team whose primary role is the assessment of children and adolescents involved in the Youth Justice system, preparing formal reports on their cultural and/or mental health needs for the Courts and other agencies, and providing short term therapies and consultation to a small number of young people. We also provide clinical and cultural services to young people in secure residential care.

Tū Māia work with Maori and Pacific young people and their whanau/aiga, to best deliver services that will meet the cultural needs of our clients. We are looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE), Maori/Pacific Island Cultural Advisor to join our busy multidisciplinary team.
